Archived project. I worked on Coinigy in 2015, when trading was still new to me. It was my first crypto product, and I had to learn how exchanges worked while designing it. The problems were concrete: dense market data, switching between exchanges, precise order entry, and mistakes that could cost money.
Designing the Android experience
Coinigy put markets and trading tools from multiple cryptocurrency exchanges into one product. I designed the Android app and oversaw implementation, including market navigation, alerts, charts, and order flows.
Keeping market context visible
Traders needed to move quickly between exchanges and markets without losing the active context. I designed navigation for switching both, along with alerts that could be set across exchanges.
Learning the order flow on BTC-e
Before designing the order flow, I used BTC-e to understand how a crypto exchange behaved in practice. It showed me where decimal precision mattered and why Bitcoin amounts had to be rounded to satoshi precision.
